Mom, When I Grow Up…

This morning Nicholas came downstairs and said, ‘mommy, when I grow up, I want to be an engineer!’

I was so proud of him just for recognizing that he could be whatever he wanted and I told him how great that was that he wanted to be like daddy.

This afternoon, Nicholas is filling out an ‘all about me’ poster and we get to the question, ‘what do you want to be when you grow up?’

I was ready to help him spell out ‘engineer’ and then he gazed up at me with his big, brown eyes and said, ‘I want to be a trash man!’

Cool. They make good money too but an engineer is less smelly.

Until next time,

Be whatever you want to be but shower afterwards.

I am a mother of three small children with a wonderful husband. Having children is not as simple as black and white. Having kids is black, white and crazy. I hope you enjoy my blog of my crazy escapades.
