And I’m the Teacher?

So Joe has been asking me to go through the kids school papers since June but since I’m a teacher and this is my summer vacation, I decided to procrastinate. He always gives me an ‘Ally-do-list’ and this year, I was protesting. Don’t get me wrong, I was going to do it on August 21st… the day before I go back to school. I was waiting that long just for fun.

However, I went to group therapy and realized that I was just being willful and stubborn so I decided to do it this week and yeah, Vincent was supposed to read an hour a week and I was supposed to keep a log. He is also supposed to do a book report and it’s due the Thursday the kids return to school.

Whoops.

So Joe and I were talking about what to do and decided, a trip to the library might be a logical step. And I am going to have to lie on the log. However, we decided that he probably ended up reading that amount of time anyway between the computer games and the synopsis of TV shows, such as Mother Fucking Cailou, PJ Masks and Stupid Miles from Tomorrowland.

He has also learned new words like galactic… which is some special gear for Miles. He has also learned about Jesus and how he shouldn’t push around Jesus’ mom. I feel like his time would be better spent if he wrote a report on life.

Either way, we are screwed and I take full responsibility. I have to make my son read for ten straight hours and write a book report. That should be fine for a child that was once diagnosed with ADHD. He should be fine.

Until next time,

Excuse me while I forge my son’s entire summer vacation.
